Toronto’s Most Instagrammable Food Festivals 2019

Are you guilty of standing on your brunch seat to take the perfect shot of your table’s food? Do you find yourself scrolling #foodporn or ordering specifically for the ‘gram? If so, this blog is for you!

It’s no secret here at Arnold Street that we are OBSESSED with food. We’re all about the latest food buzz and love our client food photoshoots. Even our office takeout orders get our creative juices flowing and obviously make it to our Instagram feed.

The phenomenon of all things #nom has driven foodie culture – and our Instagram feed – to its peak. There are numerous festivals dedicated to a wide variety of cuisines and cultures and each one lends itself perfectly to influencers and hangry hobbyists alike.  So round up your besties and work up your appetite while you check out the Toronto Summer Instagram-worthy food festivals that will help you step your IG game:

The Rosé Picnic

When: July 27, 2019

Where: Stanley Barracks @ Hotel X

Yes, way Rosé! This festival will give you the chance to stop and smell the rosés, and have a sip or two. Spend the day enjoying the trendiest wines in the world, a variety of food and musical entertainment.

This aesthetically pleasing garden-themed set up will make your pink and white outfit stand out. Grab your BFF or your significant other and catfish people into thinking you took a trip to a Miami Beach Club.

Toronto Food Truck Festival

When: August 2 – 5, 2019

Where: Woodbine Park

The Toronto Food Truck Festival is back for another year and will be serving up some delicious and Instagrammable eats. This free festival features some of Toronto’s best talent, live-eating-challenges and refreshing cold beers.

This year’s food truck lineup includes Burrito on Wheelz, Food Dudes, Marble Slab Creamery and Me.n.u just to name a few. You definitely don’t want to miss out on all the photo opportunities this fun-filled festival has to offer!

Taste of the Danforth

When: August 9 – 11, 2019

Where: Greektown

OPA! Couldn’t afford to travel to Greece this summer? Don’t sweat it, you can add a bit of Greek to your IG timeline if you head down to Taste of the Danforth. After you’ve eaten your bodyweight in souvlaki, olives, gyros, chicken, lamb and moussaka, it’s time to capture the moment.

Why not take some snaps of you and your partners dancing, sitting on a patio, or standing underneath the blue neon “Welcome to Greektown” sign? Better yet, get an action shot of yourself munching on a snack from one of the vendors!

Sweetery

When: August 10 – 11, 2019

Where: David Pecaut Square (215 King Street W)

Always too full after dinner to leave room for dessert? No worries, this is for my peeps on a hole’d diet. This event is filled with a bunch of donuts and sweet treats that are readily available for you to eat and capture!

Why not unleash your inner child and take cute snaps of yourself with a giant lollipop? You’ll look as happy as a kid in a candy shop! While you’re at it, make use of the pink balloons and cotton candy that are there and give your feed a pop of colour!

Canadian National Exhibition

When: August 17 – September 3

Where: Canadian National Exhibition (210 Princes’ Boulevard)

Don’t let the summer pass you by without a trip to the CNE! Not only is The Ex the ultimate carnival destination, with plenty of rides and games, it’s also a place for food vendors to promote their wildest concoctions. It’s a wide-known fact that you can find the weirdest and wackiest foods at the CNE, with a new list of crazy menu items each year, including all things deep-fried. Did we mention that there’s also a massive ferris wheel? Talk about the ultimate photo-op!

If you’re anything like us and are always on the lookout for the best food and photo opportunities, we guarantee these foodie festivals will liven up your summer. The best part of these outdoor food festivals – you get to wok it off! Happy Eating, TO!
